The SOS Youth houses are the
continuation of the SOS Children’s Village. At this stage, SOS helps
the youth become adults ready to start their lives as independent individuals.
After reaching the age between 14 - 15, SOS children leave the Villages to the SOS Youth
Houses. The youth interact with their surrounding society, yet remain living in
a loving family under the care of a youth leader in which they all look up to.
The leader’s task is to guide them, and assist them growing up. SOS Youth start
high school or vocational training. The Association
encourages them to adjust and experience life and interact with the local
community. Youth houses are located out side the Villages. They target the
abilities and talents of youth to let them grow into responsible adults capable
of shouldering responsibilities, contributing to their society, accepting their
past and choosing their future careers.

Association supports them through paying their expenses, as well as guiding
them through this stage, and finding them a job, until they become capable of
leading an independent life.
